SUMMARY:Journey of the Horse Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:A PERMANENT EXHIBIT at THE MAH SOCIETY OF EDMONTON \nJourney of the Horse is committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Edmonton’s Chinese history. Our exhibit is a permanent installation on two levels in the Mah Society of Edmonton building.  \nThis two-part exhibit starts with a journey through the Mah Society of Edmonton’s rich\, 100+ year history. Visitors are encouraged to continue to level two\, to follow the journey of Chinese settlers in Alberta. Also housed on level two are our cultural practices archive and genealogy library. \nCome see our collection of fascinating objects and stories that illustrate the challenges and triumphs of Edmonton’s Chinese community. We invite you to immerse yourself in this historic experience and learn more about Edmonton’s Chinese past. \nOpen only on selected Saturdays and Sundays. \nPlease register for your complimentary entrance tickets. SUMMARY:Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival
DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT CHANGE NOTICE! \nDue to the recent unprecedented rainfall and odd weather patterns in the Edmonton area\, the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival has made the difficult decision to move the location of the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival to the Leduc Boat Club located at 4801 44 Street Leduc\, Alberta T9E 5T3. The existing city dock location was recently deemed by the City of Edmonton as being unsafe and unstable to be setup this year. The safety of our paddlers and the protection of shores of the North Saskatchewan River are our paramount concerns. As the redirection towards the Leduc Boat Club occurs\, we will provide updates to all participants and visitors to the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival as they are worked out. \nThe main take-away is the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival is still on and will continue as planned\, just in a different location with lots of free parking! \nThank you for your patience as we work through the changes\, and we will see you all on August 14-16\, 2026 at Leduc Boat Club – 4801 44 Street Leduc\, Alberta. \nThe annual dragon boat festival runs August 14-16\, 2026 at  \nLeduc Boat Club \n4801 – 44 Street \nLeduc Alberta \nT9E 5T3
