DESCRIPTION:A PERMANENT EXHIBIT at THE MAH SOCIETY OF EDMONTON \nJourney of the Horse is committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Edmonton’s Chinese history. Our exhibit is a permanent installation on two levels in the Mah Society of Edmonton building.  \nThis two-part exhibit starts with a journey through the Mah Society of Edmonton’s rich\, 100+ year history. Visitors are encouraged to continue to level two\, to follow the journey of Chinese settlers in Alberta. Also housed on level two are our cultural practices archive and genealogy library. \nCome see our collection of fascinating objects and stories that illustrate the challenges and triumphs of Edmonton’s Chinese community. We invite you to immerse yourself in this historic experience and learn more about Edmonton’s Chinese past. \nOpen only on selected Saturdays and Sundays. \nPlease register for your complimentary entrance tickets. DESCRIPTION:Animethon is Canada’s longest running anime convention. We are a volunteer-run event that uplifts and showcases Asian popular arts and related local communities in Edmonton\, Alberta\, Canada. We strive to bring people together to celebrate community\, creativity\, and culture. \n\n\n\nAnimethon Music Fes\n\nAnimethon’s Music Fes is a one of a kind Japanese music festival during each night of Animethon weekend. Incredible music talents including the likes of ClariS\, DEMONDICE\, and Myth & Roid perform their greatest hits for Animethon attendees! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAMV Programming\n\nAnimethon has some of the most packed AMV programming of any convention in the world. We have nonstop AMV programming in a dedicated room all weekend long. Alongside a massive contest\, previously hosted by none other than the legendary Vlad. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCharity Auction\n\nEvery year we host an auction with our partner charity\, Edmonton Extra Life in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. This is your shot to not only get interesting and limited items donated by our guests and vendors\, but to help out with a good cause! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFan Panels\n\nAnimethon is by the fans\, for the fans.\nThe entire weekend is packed with fan hosted panels. From informational panels helping you spot bootlegs\, to action packed Mad Libs style battle arc builders. There will surely be tons of content you’ll enjoy!
