Jie Yang was born and raised in Beijing, China. Jie studied at Beijing institute of Clothing Technology, Beijing, China. Where she received a bachelor degree, then became an editor. In 2010, She found her true calling when she attended Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. She has completed the second year of the Crafts and Design Glass Program. She is consistently influenced by the natural and urban landscapes around her. Jie has future plans to open more possibilities between China and Canada, she is working on setting up an online gallery in Chinese and English. introducing Canadian glass culture and artists to Chinese public. With her experience in media, she hopes to provide more opportunities for artists from both countries, so they can communicate and cooperate together.
