Our Chinatown Youth Committee Strategy session will be on Sunday, October 26th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Breakfast and snacks will be served. It will be held at the Chinese Benevolent Association (9645 101A Ave).

On behalf of the Chinese Benevolent Association, I would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested in the future vibrancy of Chinatown and the Edmonton Chinese community to join us in what I hope will be a robust discussion/strategy session.

We will explore the role young people can play, not only in the revitalization of Chinatown, but in the City of Edmonton as representatives of the Chinese community. At previous meetings, many of you have emphasized the importance of unity and the bringing together of the many diverse facets of the Chinese community. There was also a strong consensus that young people should have a visible role in Chinatown and the greater Chinese community. This will be your chance to help define what our role should be and how we can move forward from discussion to action.
I hope you will be able to join us. As this will be a team effort, feel free to invite anyone you know who would be interested.

In the next week or so, our facilitator will be sending out short survey questions in preparation for the half-day session.
