Students from kindergarten to grade six in the Chinese-English Bilingual Program will compete in the 17th Annual Chinese Speech Contest. This event is held in May to celebrate Asian Heritage Month at Dovercourt. Judges of the contest consist of parents and teachers. Students always look forward to the event which showcases language proficiency level from kindergarten to grade six. These speeches include children’s rhymes, short stories or prose that students are studying in the Chinese (Mandarin) bilingual program.
