Please join us for our next event on June 23, 2015 featuring Gordon Houlden (guest speaker) and Mei Huang (moderator). The theme of the evening is “FDI 101: Engaging Asia for Prosperity.”

Gordon Houlden is the Director of the China Institute and a Professor of Political Science at the University of Alberta. Mei Huang is a Senior Policy Advisor in the International Energy Policy Branch at Alberta Energy. Following some remarks by Gordon Houlden, Mei Huang will sit down with Gordon Houlden in a 1 on 1 interview to discuss his perspectives on the fundamentals of Foreign Direct Investment, Canada’s approach to investment with respect to Asia as well as whether a targeted Asia Strategy is needed for the country. Questions pertaining to public perceptions of FDI from Asia and the role of education are also tackled in what should be an engaging and stimulating event.

Following the event at 7:15 pm will be a reception as well as our Annual General Meeting for our members.
