Experience local ravines in a virtual heritage tour

Event addresses sustainability practices and making commitments to carry them out through the discussion on ravines. A heritage video tour and talk of the ravines near Chinatown where gogi berry bushes, sown by early Chinese settlers, and native berries and plant life growing in the area, such as wild rose hips, dandelion greens, etc. for home remedies, traditional medicine, or food. Participants gain a new perspective of the ravines and its ties to Indigenous and settler cultures and learn about sustainability practices of these greenspaces.
