It’s almost that time of the year again! Celebrate MidAutumn Festival at Churchill Square with all your friends and family! Imagine the waters in front of City Hall full of Wishing Boats holding the wishes and blessings of Edmontonians! And this is after you’ve had a memorable afternoon of mooncake, martial arts, riddles, lantern making and much more!
At 9pm, join the Lantern Parade and launch a Wish Boat with thousands of other Edmontonians. All proceeds towards the WishBoats will go towards the Edmonton Food Bank, so bring your non-perishable food items to donate to the great cause!
Here’s a bit of background information: The MidAutumn Festival is traditionally a harvest festival that revolves around the gathering of family and friends, giving thanks to the harvest, and wishing for longevity, good fortune, and happiness. It is often celebrated with mooncake, lanterns, and reunions.

Admission: Free – The Edmonton Food Bank will collect non-perishable items & donations at the event.
