“Most Nuite Blanche projects are interactive or have lights or are something the public can connect to and they often re-imagine what the public realm could look like,” said the festival’s vice-chair Kristy Trinier.

The festival will run overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. starting on Sept. 26 with two main areas: one around Churchill Square and the other several blocks over in the Quarters.

Trinier said while Nuite Blanche has been staged in other cities there is no blueprint for exactly how it should be done.
