The 39th Heritage Festival 2014 is the premier three-day showcase of Canada’s vibrant multicultural heritage, featuring 60 pavilions representing over eighty-five cultures. The Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival Association (EDBFA) hosts a dragon boat festival each year on the third week in August – rain or shine. Please join us for the traditional Blessing of the Boats on Wednesday evening at Louise McKinney Park from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Friday evening begins with the Novice Cup races where novice teams experience their first dragon boat race with the sound of ‘starter has the race’ followed by an air horn.
