Explore Asian folktales through the humour and wit of renowned kids’ author and playwright Marty Chan. From start to finish, kids will be on the edge of their seats as this gifted storyteller spices classic folktales with a dash of humour, pinch of magic and dollop of improv.

Using an interactive draw-and-tell, Marty reveals how the 12 animals of the Chinese calendar were chosen, and with the help of a little stage magic, brings to life the origin of the Chinese New Year. He’ll even cast kids as heroes and villains in the mid-autumn festival tale of Chang’e, the lady in the moon!
